Rapid Go, also called Quick Go or Blitz Go, is a game of Go played with substantially less thinking time than a standard game. It uses a fast time control, such as a short main time, rapid byo-yomi, or another specified limit. The exact limits depend on the event or platform.

This format provides a faster-paced form of play and makes it possible to fit more games into a shorter period. Rapid Go describes the time control or overall game format—not a particular move, tactic, or opening. Because time limits vary between events and platforms, the term does not refer to one universally fixed time control.
