The method is an in-game positional estimate, not a separate ruleset and not the final official scoring procedure. Its reliability depends on judging unsettled territory, unsettled groups, and future exchanges correctly. Because those elements may still change, the estimate should be treated as a guide to the current balance rather than as a definitive result.
